Alert message sent 25/06/2019 15:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We are appealing for witnesses after four people were injured in a road traffic collision on the A345 near Salisbury over the weekend.

The crash, between a red Ford Eco Sport and a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van, happened on the stretch of road between the Beehive Park and Ride and Old Sarum at around 1.30pm on Sunday (23/06/19).

The driver of the Ford, a man in his 20s, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious leg injuries. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, but he is currently still receiving treatment.

Three other patients, the female passenger in the Ford, and a man and woman who were travelling in the van, were all taken to hospital with minor injuries and have since been discharged.

PC Jim Brown, from Wiltshire South Community Policing Team, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who either witnessed the crash or who saw either vehicle shortly before the collision.

"We would also ask people to check their dash cam footage to see if they have anything which could assist with our enquiries."

Anyone with information should call PC Brown on 101, quoting reference 54190060551.
