Alert message sent 12/06/2019 13:07:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

The following information is being circulated on behalf of SGN

As you may be aware, SGN manages the network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. We also provide the gas emergency service in these areas.

I’m writing to let you know we will shortly be starting a project to reinforce the gas network in the Waterloo Street area of Glasgow. Following discussions with Glasgow City Council our project will start on Friday 5 July 2019 and last approximately three days.

On Friday 5 July, we’ll be working on the on-slip to the M8 at Heddle Place and Waterloo Street.  To ensure everyone’s safety, it will be necessary to close the on-slip to the M8 from 08:00 on Friday 5 July till 08:00 on Monday 8 July. Local diversions will in place.

We will also be suspending the bus stop in Waterloo Street just before the M8 on ramp.

We’ll be posting regular updates on our website https://www.sgn.co.uk/Roadworks/Scotland-projects/ and using social media and traffic bulletins to keep residents and motorists informed.

Please feel free to share this information with anyone else who may be impacted by our work.

If you have any other enquiries about this project, please call our Customer Service Team on 0800 912 1700.
