Commissioner discussed local concerns in Cressbrook

Alert message sent 12/06/2019 10:35:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner

Yesterday on PCC Dhindsa’s #D383 Tour of Derbyshire he joined the residents of Cressbrook at the Church Hall during their annual well dressing celebration.

Following a question and answer session around the role of the PCC the group discussed local concerns.

Issues raised included local policing, and the stress on local farmers and mental health. The Commissioner explained the plan to increase policing numbers by 120 across Derbyshire and the work of the Mental Health Crisis Care Concordat and the dedicated Rural Crime team.

The residents explained that in general the village was quiet and they valued the work of their local PCSO and were supportive of the Commissioner’s campaign to increase central funding for policing.
