News Bulletin
Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Halton Brook

May 2019
Local Crime

Unfortunately we have seen a marked increase in incidents involving off road motorbikes on the estate. Some have been reported formally via 101 and some which have been passed on to me personally. (please always ring 101 first to report) The Op Scrambler team has had some good results with a local male being stopped on a stolen bike and arrested for multiple offences. We have also seen a small number of motorbikes being stolen locally. Plain clothes officer stopped two males recently with a number of tools on their person, both were arrested for the offence of ‘going equipped to steal’.
We are still appealing to residents to contact us in confidence either via the social media private messaging channels, via 101 or at our LPU email address RUNCORN.LPU@CHESHIRE.PNN.POLICE.UK if they have any information about nuisance motorbikes are stored or who is riding them.

Roads Policing

Tru-Cam speed enforcement has been conducted a number of times on Halton Road, Boston Avenue and with the Mini Police on Halton Brook Avenue. There have only been a small number of activations which is good and shows the message is getting across. If there are any roads that you think require our attention with the camera please get in touch and let me know by social media or email.
