I want to take this opportunity to remind you that most burglaries and vehicle thefts are committed by opportunist thieves who can be deterred by simple security measures, please consider the following:
• Postcode all your valuable property with a UV pen.
• Fit good quality deadlocks/Anti Snap locks to all exterior doors.
• Fit window locks, especially on the ground floor windows.
• Consider burglar alarm and set it when you go out or go to bed.
• Keep ALL keys (house and cars) away from doors and windows.
• Consider a steering wheel lock for your vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle is kept locked when left unattended.
• Consider starting or joining a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

Encourage your neighbours to sign up to WMNow for regular updates from your local police. www.wmnow.co.uk.

Kind Regards
Sutton Coldfield Neighbourhood Team
