Recent Crime in Kettering Borough Thursday 25th April 2019

BARTON ROAD, BARTON SEAGRAVE. Arson between 4pm and 4.30pm Tuesday 23rd. Large tree stump set fire to in Wicksteed Park. Logs and branches had been piled up and lit, causing long-term damage to trees. Ref: 190002 07077.
KIPLING ROAD, KETTERING. Theft from motor vehicle between 5pm Monday 22nd and 8am Wednesday 24th. Access gained via unknown means and items stolen. Ref: 190002 06843.
MAIN STREET, ASHLEY. Interference with motor vehicle between 10pm Tuesday 23rd and 3am Wednesday 24th. Pair of cutters used to try to cut off back door handle to gain entry, but none gained. Ref: 190002 06648.
MAIN STREET, ASHLEY. Interference with motor vehicle between 10.30pm Tuesday 23rd and 6.20am Wednesday 24th. Lock on side door of van forced. Neighbour disturbed the suspect and nothing taken. Ref: 190002 06667.
BESTWOOD CLOSE, DESBOROUGH. Theft between 6pm Thursday 18th and 7pm Monday 22nd. Entry gained via insecure gate and fake trees and plants stolen form front and rear gardens. Ref: 190002 04661.
BACK LANE, DESBOROUGH. Theft at 3.30pm Monday 22nd. Victim’s handbag stolen from the bottom of her pram whilst in the car park at West Lodge Rural Centre. Ref: 190002 05277.
ST. MARY’S ROAD, KETTERING. Distraction burglary between 1.30pm and 1.37pm Tuesday 23rd. Two unknown offenders attended the property of a very elderly person. One waited in the car outside whilst the other entered the property and offered to fix the guttering for £10. The victim agreed and got £10 out of his wallet, which he put back on the side in the lounge. On turning round he saw the offender open his wallet and take out a further £100. The offender left the property and got into a green car with the other male. Ref: 190002 05552.
BATH ROAD, KETTERING. Interference with motor vehicle between 8.15pm Monday 22nd and 6.30am Tuesday 23rd. Entry gained by unknown means. Glove box searched but nothing taken. Ref: 190002 04430.
BROWNING AVENUE, KETTERING. Interference with motor vehicle between 10pm Monday 22nd and 8am Tuesday 23rd. Car broken into by unknown means. Untidy search made but nothing taken. Ref: 190002 04709.
HILL STREET, KETTERING. Interference with motor vehicle between 6pm Monday 22nd and 5.15am Tuesday 23rd. Entry gained by unknown means. Vehicle searched but nothing taken. Ref: 190002 04802.
WAVERLEY ROAD, KETTERING. Theft between 5pm and 6pm Saturday 20th. Kit stolen from the bottom of the stairs in the Rugby Club. Ref: 190002 03329.
CHURCHILL WAY, BURTON LATIMER. Theft between 4.45pm and 5.10pm Monday 22nd. Bicycle left outside shop was stolen. Ref: 190002 03829.
CHURCHILL WAY, BURTON LATIMER. Theft between 5.05pm and 5.10pm Monday 22nd. Bicycle left outside shop was stolen. Ref: 190002 03846.
NELSON STREET, KETTERING. Criminal damage between midnight and 9.30am Monday 22nd. Pedal on motorcycle snapped off with unknown instrument and wing mirror twisted. Ref: 190002 03837.
MATLOCK WAY, DESBOROUGH. Theft from motor vehicle at 2.20am Tuesday 23rd. Victim heard a noise outside. On looking out he saw a vehicle parked with a male carrying his toolbag from his van. The victim ran outside and shouted. There was an altercation and he returned to the house to prevent further problems. Entry had been made via the driver’s side door lock. Ref: 190002 04378.
NORTHUMBERLAND ROAD, KETTERING. Theft from motor vehicle between 10.45pm and 10.50pm Monday 22nd. Glass stolen from wing mirror. A neighbour saw someone in a Corsa vehicle taking it. Ref: 190002 04183.
LONDON ROAD, KETTERING. Assault between 5.15pm and 5.20pm Wednesday 17th. Victim was walking along the street when the suspect stopped his vehicle, got out and grabbed hold of the victim whilst verbally threatening him. The victim made his way to safety. Ref: 190002 03284.
WILLIAM STREET, KETTERING. Theft from motor vehicle between 11pm Thursday 18th and 6am Friday 19th. Car broken into. Ref: 190002 99073.
MELTON STREET, KETTERING. Theft from motor vehicle between 6pm Friday 19th and 2.30am Saturday 20th. Vehicle entered by unknown means and items stolen. Ref: 190002 00019.
CHURCH LANE, CRANSLEY. Theft from motor vehicle between 7.50pm and 8.06pm Friday 19th. The grille from the front of the vehicle was stolen and the immobiliser tampered with. The victim heard a loud noise and saw a vehicle driving away. Ref: 190001 99669.
ROCKINGHAM ROAD, KETTERING. Theft between 1.30am and 8am Thursday 18th. Front garden entered and water tank stolen, causing damage to plants. A white van was seen to speed off at approx. 3.30am. Ref: 190001 98431.
ORION WAY, KETTERING. Theft between 4pm and 4.15pm Friday 19th. Unlocked bicycle left outside McDonalds was stolen by two unknown males. Ref: 190001 98604.
BRAMBLESIDE COURT, KETTERING. Burglary between 11.30pm Wednesday 17th and 9am Thursday 18th. Lock on garage door forced and multiple items stolen. Ref: 190001 96879.
COBDEN STREET, KETTERING. Burglary between 5.30pm Wednesday 17th and 11.30am Thursday 18th. Garage in block broken into and items stolen. Ref: 190001 97223.
KINGSLEY AVENUE, KETTERING. Theft from motor vehicle between 8pm Wednesday 17th and 7am Thursday 18th. Entry gained by unknown means and cash stolen. Ref: 190001 96643.
