Alert message sent 14/03/2019 10:48:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

The following information is being circulated on behalf of SGN

As you may be aware, SGN manages the network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. We also provide the gas emergency service in these areas.
We have begun work to upgrade our gas network in the Netherton Road area of Wishaw and further to my previous email advising that we had ceased work for operational reasons, I am writing to inform you we are planning to return to Netherton Road on Monday 25 of March to continue with our works as below:
Phase twoapproximately 22 weeks
From Monday 25 March 2019, we will resume working in Netherton Road from its junction with Carbarns Road progressing east to its junction with Old Manse Road.

To ensure everyone’s safety, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place in Netherton Road. These lights will become four-way traffic lights when we reach Netherton Road’s junction with Old Manse Road.
All traffic lights during this phase will be manually controlled during peak times to minimise inconvenience as much as possible. Temporary bus stops may also be put in place in Netherton Road.
Phase three – approximately 12 weeks
From Monday 15 July, we’ll be working in Netherton Road between Stenton Crescent and Bourhill Crescent. There will be no traffic management required for this phase.
We’ll also be posting regular updates on Roadworks.org and using social media and traffic bulletins to keep residents and motorists informed.

If you have any other enquiries about this project, please call Project Manager John Gilluley on 07805 766 350 during office hours (8am to 4.30pm) or call us on 0800 912 1700 outside these times.
Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may be impacted by our work.
