Community against Drugs

Alert message sent 12/03/2019 11:13:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen

The team have recently carried out a number of warrants recovering drugs and seizing a number of cannabis plants, this has been achieved through information received from the communities we police.
The supply and use of controlled drugs destroys people’s lives. Drugs don’t just affect users themselves; they have a knock-on effect on others such as family and friends and the community you live in.
Crime is often higher in areas where drugs are being used and there can be a greater problem with anti-social behaviour. This affects the quality of life for law-abiding residents and increases their fear of crime.
Together with our partners, we are determined to reduce drug offending. But we cannot do this alone and need your help to make our communities safer. We need your help to identify drug dealers in your area, locations being used for drugs both using and supply. If you have any information call our central switchboard number - 101 – or you can report online on the West Midlands Police website. Alternatively, call Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111. Crime stoppers are an anonymous hotline where you can leave information without giving your name or details, Calls are free. If you need help with drugs or support for someone you know, you can talk to FRANK on 0800 77 66 00.
