Alert message sent 07/03/2019 18:48:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Thursday 7th March 2019

Dear resident

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood
If you saw or heard anything or have any information about the below incident please call our non emergency number 101, quoting the reference number provided.
Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

Reference: 20SH/55251U/19.
Location:   Lake Drive, Tidbury Green.
Date and time:
Between 5:30pm and 11:44pm on Tuesday 5th March 2019.
Offence details:  The glass panels to the back door of the property were smashed and a number of items were taken from within, including a Macbook pro, Jewellery, clothing and two keys to Range Rovers.

Officers from your local neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent further offences and try to catch offenders.

Where possible please make sure house alarms are set when the property is vacant, decent motion activated lighting and CCTV cameras are set up at the front and rear of your property and steering wheel locks are used on your vehicles.

Please ensure steering wheel lock keys are not attached to your car keys as this makes the steering wheel lock totally redundant if keys are stolen.

Please also make sure all windows and doors, both upstairs and downstairs, are locked and that you have invested in high quality UPVC doors and windows. This will drastically reduce the chance of you becoming a victim of this type of crime.
