Two men charged with drug offences in Reading

Thames Valley Police has charged two men with drug offences in Reading.

Shahzaad Ahmed, aged 37 of Ripley Road and Mohammed Avas Akram, aged 27 of Cranbury Road were charged on Saturday (9/2) with one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, cocaine and one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug, cannabis.

It’s in connection with the stop and search of a vehicle in Derby Street at around 6pm on Friday (8/2).

They both appeared in at Reading Magistrates Court on 11/2 and they have been remanded in custody until a heading at Reading Crown Court at a date to be decided.
