Operation in Doncaster College

Alert message sent 11/02/2019 14:42:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

Good Afternoon,

Earlier today police officers from your Neighbourhood Team attended Doncaster College, The Hub. We set up a portable metal detector in the entrance to the building and were accompanied by South Yorkshire Police's own passive drugs dog: Duke. (He's 13 years of age and still working!) Students and staff were directed to walk through the arch, and past Duke. A number of people were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act for drugs and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act for offensive weapons.

This will be one of many operations as we continue working with Doncaster College to prevent crime.
