Please find below update for activity in the Central area for the last week ending 1st February. If there is any information you would like to see as part of this newsletter please let me know and I will see if it is possible to incorporate.

Team Updates

Balby and Hexthorpe

PRIORITIES

Our current priorities for Balby are Burglary , Anti-Social Behaviour and motorcycle nuisance.

Hexthorpe we are looking at Burglary , ASB and drugs

To reduce burglary Operation Shield is continuing with revisits to the addresses where we had no reply. This week we have visited 56 homes, 6 have been marked up, 2 refused.

To tackle the supply of drugs a warrant was executed at Samuel Street this week. A quantity of cocaine and a large amount of cash seized. 3 people were arrested.

ASB Balby South – 7 calls are for vehicle nuisance
ASB Balby North – 7 calls , 6 for vehicles, 1 for nuisance youths
ASB Hexthorpe – 3 calls , 2 for vehicle and 1 neighbour dispute

Wheatley/Intake

Priorities are Burglary and speeding

Crime prevention visits to addresses in the area. Continuing patrols of the area for burglary offences.

On Friday officers responded to a 999 call and arrested a male inside a property on Highfield Road on suspicious of burglary.

Other work

Pact drop in House Martin pub, 30 people engaged with. Crime prevention advice given


ASB – 4 Calls, 3 vehicle related and 1 for nuisance youths

Town

PRIORITIES

Priorities continue to be ASB, rough sleeping / begging and drugs issues

We are continuing with our enhanced patrols to tackle Anti-social behaviour , begging and drugs issues. Below is a summary of our activity to respond to these priorities.

Engaged with 141 named individuals.

Assistance call from Debenhams regarding a female shoplifter female who was detained in possession of items from Debenhams and Marks and Spencer’s and was carrying a canister of Pepper Spray. Female arrested and charged.

2 youths detained Minster Grounds after reports of an assault on a homeless person.

Female sighted who was wanted for 5 offences of theft, arrested and charged.

17 year old male arrested for supply of cannabis after being seen dealing by CCTV near B&M. Found in possession of a quantity of cannabis, Arrested and currently released pending further enquiries

2 females complained of sexual assault while on a night out in Doncaster town centre. The suspect was arrested and charged with a number of offences including sexual assault and has been remanded in custody.

2 males who appeared at court this week for town centre burglaries have been sentenced. Graham Austin received a 3 year prison sentence and Jason McFaul received a 30 month sentence.

A male arrested in town in possession of SPICE and a bladed article as a result of a stop search by the team was also sentenced this week to 28 weeks in prison

Fixed penalty notice issued for wilful obstruction to a male who had abandoned his vehicle at the St Sepulchre Gate bollards.

ASB - 21

Hyde Park/Belle Vue/Lakeside/Cantley / Bessacarr

PRIORITIES

ASB, rough sleeping, drug issues, speeding/parking issues

Three fixed penalty tickets issued to cars causing unnecessary obstruction on the roundabout at the junction of Lakeside Boulevard and Carolina Way following complaints from residents.

PRIORITIES Speeding/Parking

School parking Patrols Hayfield Lane Auckley

ASB – 9 calls, 4 vehicle related , 2 animals issues and 3 other issues

Rossington and Bawtry

PRIORITIES speeding/parking , drugs and nuisance motor cycles

A drugs warrant has been executed on Coronach Way , Rossington this week , a quantity of cocaine and cash was found. The occupant was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

School parking patrols conducted at all schools. Tornedale Infants School targeted due to parking by inconsiderate drivers. 3 drivers warned and 1 ticket issued to driver parked on Zig-Zags

School visits conducted at St Josephs School and St Michael’s School.

School parking patrols conducted at Grange lane Infants Schools, St Michaels , Pheasant Bank.

Other work


Attend community sports session at Rossington Sports village. High Vis patrols conducted around the areas where youths congregate.
