Alert message sent 25/01/2019 11:54:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

The following information is being circulated on behalf of SGN

As you may be aware, SGN manages the network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. We also provide the gas emergency service in these areas.

Further to my email of 16 January 2019, I’m writing to let you know of changes to the phasing information for this project.

Following discussions with East Renfrewshire Council, this project started on Monday 21 January and will last approximately 18 weeks.  We’ll be carrying out the work over four phases to help minimise disruption.

Each phase is described below. Please note that some of these phases will overlap.

Phase 1 – approximately three weeks (as before)
On Monday 21 January we will be working in Victoria Road between its junctions with Paisley Road and Victoria Gardens. To ensure everyone’s safety, we will close the footpath on one side of the road and in addition, temporary three-way traffic lights may be required at the junction of Victoria Road and Paisley Road.

Phase 2 – approximately four weeks (formerly phase 4)
From Monday 18 February, we will be working in Carlibar Road from outside number 34, to the Arthurlie Football Club entrance. To ensure everyone’s safety, two-way temp traffic lights may be used if required.

Phase 3 – approximately four weeks (formerly phase 2)
From Monday 18 March, we will be working in Paisley Road between Victoria Road and Fereneze Grove. During this phase, to ensure everyone’s safety and minimise disruption, we may have to install temporary two-way traffic lights.

Phase 4– approximately seven weeks (formerly phase 3)
From Monday 8 April, we will be working in Paisley Road from its junction with Fereneze Grove and the railway bridge.
To ensure everyone’s safety and to minimise disruption to traffic flow, temporary four-way traffic lights may be installed in place of the permanent four-way lights at the junction of Paisley Road and Graham Street and at the junction of Cross Arthurlie Street and Carlibar Road.
We hope to complete this phase without any additional traffic management.

We’ll be posting regular updates on our website https://www.sgn.co.uk/Roadworks/Scotland-projects/ and using social media and traffic bulletins to keep residents and motorists informed.

Please feel free to share this information with anyone else who may be impacted by our work.

If you have any other enquiries about this project, please call project manager Scott McLymont 07776 162 901 during office hours (8am to 4.30pm) or on 0800 912 1700 outside these times.
