Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

          Friday 18th January 2019

Dear resident

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood.
If you saw or heard anything or have any information about the below incident please call our non emergency number 101, quoting the reference number provided.
Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

Reference: 20SH/12755J/19.
Location: Lowbrook Lane, Tidbury Green.
Date and time:
Between 4:30pm on Tuesday 15th January 2019 and 7am on Wednesday 16th January 2019.

The gate to the construction site was pulled down and the locks to two cabins were forced open. The following tools were then stolen:
1x blue rotary drill
1x red Stihl disc saw
1x yellow generator
1x Yellow Whacker plate
1x red Stihl saw
1x red rotating glazer
1x Black gas detector
1x silver tripod

Officers from your local neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent further offences and try to catch offenders.

Where possible please make sure house alarms are set when the property is vacant, decent motion activated lighting and CCTV cameras are set up at the front and rear of your property and steering wheel locks are used on your vehicles.

Please ensure steering wheel lock keys are not attached to your car keys as this makes the steering wheel lock totally redundant if keys are stolen.

Please also make sure all windows and doors, both upstairs and downstairs, are locked. This will drastically reduce the chance of you becoming a victim of this type of crime.
