WITHERNSEA: Local Man charged with Robbery Burglary

Crime Update


A 35-year-old man has been charged with robbing two 72-year-olds in their homes in Withernsea on Christmas Eve.

Tony Finlay from Alma Street in Withernsea has been charged with two counts of robbery, and a burglary at an address in Rimswell in October.

The robbery charges follow incidents at properties on Kirkfield Road and Francis Avenue in Withernsea on the evening of Monday 24 December 2018. 

The burglary charge refers to an incident on Withernsea Road, Rimswell on Wednesday 10 October 2018. 

He is due to appear at Hull Crown Court today Friday 11 January.
