Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

This information is being circulated on behalf of SGN

As you may be aware, SGN manages the network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. We also provide the gas emergency service in these areas.

I’m writing to let you know we will shortly be starting our £206,600 project to upgrade the gas network in Carmunnock Road, Glasgow. This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.

Following discussions with Glasgow City Council our project will start on Monday 14 January and last approximately five weeks.

From Monday 14 January, we’ll be working in Carmunnock Road between Southwood Drive and Carna Drive, opposite Christ the King RC Church. During this time, we will have to close the nearside lane heading towards Castlemilk.

We’ll be posting regular updates on our website https://www.sgn.co.uk/Roadworks/Scotland-projects/ and using social media and traffic bulletins to keep residents and motorists informed. Please feel free to share this information with anyone else who may be impacted by our work.

If you have any other enquiries about this project, please call project manager Paul Nisbet on 07815 867 962 during office hours (8am to 4.30pm) or on 0800 912 1700 outside these times.
