PCC Dhindsa visited Boulton and Sunnyhill on his D383 tour

Alert message sent 11/07/2018 16:34:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner

Continuing his #D383 tour of Derbyshire yesterday the Commissioner visited Boulton and Sunnyhill to talk to local residents.

He started at Boulton on Crayford Road and then heading over to Sunnyhill Community Centre listening to the issues and concerns that matter to the community.

In Boulton it was said to be a nice area however there were issues with local school children causing low level antisocial behaviour. Some children were throwing stones over fences in a local alleyway, dropping litter and writing graffiti.

Concerns in Sunnyhill included speeding vehicles on the local roads and suspected drug dealing from a residential property. One long term resident said the area had mellowed over the past few years.

The Commissioner asked that incidents of ASB and drug use be reported to 101 so that local officers can tackle hotspot areas.

PCC Dhindsa is committed to listening to the views of every urban, suburban and rural corner of the community.
