Witness appeal following attempted robbery of a teenager

We’re appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was the victim of an attempted robbery and assault in Allestree.

On Friday, March 23 between 8pm and 8.45pm the victim was walking along Robin Croft Road with a group of friends when he saw another group of 3-4 youths.

One of the youths approached the victim and threatened him. The victim ran away towards his friends at the junction of Portreath Drive and Birchover Way, but was then chased by another youth who jumped at him and kneed him to the face. The youth then also went on to punch him.

The group are all described as white, teenage boys aged between 16-18 years old. They were all wearing black, with hoods pulled up and their faces covered.
