Witness appeal after theft from a car

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a theft from a vehicle in Whitleigh.

The incident happened between 6.00pm on Tuesday 10 October and 7.30am on Wednesday 11 October along Dorchester Avenue in which items including cash were stolen from a silver Citroen C3.

Officers are reminding members of the public not to leave valuables in their vehicles – thieves know all of the hiding places. We would also advise car owners to park their vehicles in a garage or on a driveway if at all possible.

Visit the Devon and Cornwall Police website for crime prevention advice on keeping your vehicle safe from thieves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting crime reference number CR/087853/17.

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
